Meet The Innovator
Shermaine Perry-Knights is the Founder and Chief Learning Officer of Innovation Consultants of DeKalb, a consulting firm specializing in interactive workshops and publishing solutions. She has contributed research, instructional design, and policy support in education, governmental relations, regional equity, and community advocacy.
She is currently responsible for designing curriculum, project management, and providing strategic consultation to executives for process improvement and employee development. Shermaine's primary focus is developing a curriculum for management, but she also designs microlearning solutions to energize compliance training across organizations.
Prior to joining the field of talent development in 2016, she served in public policy research, community advocacy, and higher education. Shermaine’s background enriches the design and delivery of her projects. As a master instructional designer, she is knowledgeable about learning development and the facilitation of outcome-based learning programs. Shermaine Perry-Knights is recognized by the Association for Talent Development as the 2020 One To Watch.
Shermaine obtained a bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and a master’s degree from Strayer University. In addition to obtaining her Six Sigma Green Belt and Associate Professional in Talent Development certification in 2018, Shermaine achieved the Kirkpatrick Four Levels Evaluation Certification- Bronze Level. She traveled throughout Asia and the West Indies, and she lived and studied in Europe and the Middle East.
